June was a busy month, as we distributed Qurbani, helped families take part in the spirit of Eid and restored homes in Lebanon. Preparations made in May 2025 paid off as we helped thousands eat nutritious meals.
Restoring Homes in Lebanon
Thousands of refugees in Lebanon live in difficult conditions. For one woman in particular, damp had taken over her home. The smell was so strong that she struggled to sleep. As part of our home restoration project, we improved ventilation in her home, removing the smell. The team further fixed doors and electricity, vastly improving her living conditions. Read Rima’s story here. We also provided a family with a fridge, making it easier to keep food fresh and edible. This may seem small, but for a family in need, it makes a huge difference to their every day lives. It's also a reminder of how much families rely on our help.
Empowering Refugees to Earn a Living
With a large number of refugees seeking safety in Lebanon, many are left to rely on humanitarian aid. One woman, Fatima, sells products from home to earn a living. But she didn’t have anywhere to display her products. We helped install an in-house shop, providing clothes to sell, shelving and a clothes stand. You can read Fatima’s story here.
Middle East Qurbani Distribution
Alhamdulillah your Qurbani donations reached families in Yemen. Meat was further sacrificed and prepared for Gaza, Jordan and Lebanon (for Syrian and Palestinian refugees). This meat will take longer to reach its destination due to the current situation. You can find out more about how we send Qurbani meat into Gaza here.
Africa Qurbani Distribution
The team distributed Qurbani meat across 6 countries in East Africa and West Africa. Your donations reached families in Mali, Sudan, Tanzania, Somalia, Nigeria and Chad. Thanks to your generosity, families were able to take part in the spirit of Eid. For many, it was one of the only times of year they could eat a nutritious meal containing meat.
Asia Qurbani Distribution
Thanks to your donations, we distributed Qurbani meat across India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Bangladesh (for Rohingya refugees).
