May Update | GRF's Work This Month
See GRF's work completed in May 2025.
In May, we continued building partnerships, as mentioned in our April 2025 update. We further headed to Jordan to help Syrian and Palestinian refugees with well-known Canadian YouTube group Habibi Squad and launched our annual Qurbani campaign.
Deployment in Jordan with Habibi Squad
We have been working with Canadian YouTubers Habibi Squad to raise crucial funds for refugees in Jordan. The group flew out to Jordan, meeting our UK team on the ground. Throughout the deployment, they hand-delivered aid, held a fun day with orphans and spoke to beneficiaries to understand the challenges we face and how we can help. Aid Distribution
As part of the deployment, the team distributed food parcels to families and school kits to children. Food parcels contain specifically selected items that can feed a family of 6 for up to 3 weeks. School kits contain essential items for children, making it easier for them to receive an education and to learn. While this may seem like something small for us, for them, it helps build a solid foundation to learn and grow.
Qurbani Campaign
As Eid-ul-Adha and the month of Dhul-Hijjah approach, we have launched our annual Qurbani campaign. Providing Qurbani meat to 15+ countries, many families look forward to this time of year as it's the only chance they can eat fresh meat. With your donations, we can help them enjoy the spirits of Eid and give them their share.
Join Us in Making a Difference
May was spent supporting Syrian and Palestinian refugees and focusing on our Qurbani campaign. In June, we aim to continue supporting communities around the globe and distribute Qurbani meat to families - some who only get to eat meat once a year.
