Lebanon Emergency

Lebanon’s deadliest day in decades

As of 24th September 2024, Lebanon is experiencing a significant crisis due to the escalating conflict. There have been 558 deaths, including those of 50 children and 94 women. There are also mass casualties, with 1,835 people wounded, seeking treatment in 54 hospitals across the country. Among them are 4 paramedics killed and 16 wounded.

According to the country’s Health Minister, this is Lebanon’s deadliest day in decades, with the situation forecast to worsen. Mass displacement has taken over the South of Lebanon as 112,000 people attempt to flee to safety. Southern Lebanon is the primary area of concern, however the East and North East of the country have also been affected. Residential areas have endured the most impact.
