About GRF:

Our fundraising is powered by a network of mosques, community organisations, and individual donors who share our mission. Every pound raised goes toward life-changing work across multiple countries.

Job Summary:

The Fundraising Co-ordinator (Mosque & Community Outreach) is a field-based, relationship-driven role at the heart of GRF's mosque and community fundraising programme across Manchester and the Northwest.

You will be the face of GRF in mosques, madrasas, and local businesses — building relationships, booking and running collections, maintaining a live database, and expanding GRF's presence across the region. This is a role for someone who is organised, personable, self-motivated, and comfortable representing GRF in community settings. You will work directly under the Fundraising Manager and report on your activity, pipeline, and results on a weekly basis.

Key Responsibilities

Mosque Visits & Relationship Building

Proactively visit mosques across your allocated area — introducing GRF, building relationships with imams and committee members, and establishing a regular presence.

Pitch and secure Mosque collection bookings on behalf of GRF, following the agreed booking and approval process.

Organise and lead mosque tours — coordinating with the Fundraising Manager and ensuring collections are staffed and run smoothly.

Maintain ongoing relationships with mosque contacts, following up after each collection and nurturing long-term partnerships.

Always represent GRF professionally and in line with GRF's values when visiting mosques and community settings.

Masjid Database Management

Build and maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date database of mosques across Manchester and the Northwest.

Record key contact details, collection history, relationship status, and upcoming bookings for every mosque in your area.

Keep the database accurate and current — updating it after every visit, call, or collection.

Share database updates and pipeline information with the Fundraising Manager on a weekly basis.

Local Business Money Box Distribution

Visit local businesses across your allocated area to introduce GRF's money box programme and secure placements.

Build and maintain relationships with business owners, ensuring money boxes are placed, monitored, and collected on a regular schedule.

Track all business placements in your database, including location, contact, date placed, and collection dates.

Follow up with businesses consistently to maintain engagement and maximise collection amounts.

Madrasa Money Box Project

Visit madrasas across your area to introduce GRF and the money box programme to teachers and administrators.

Secure money box placements in madrasas and build relationships with key contacts.

Coordinate collection schedules and ensure money boxes are emptied and replaced on a regular basis.

Report on madrasa engagement, placements, and collections as part of your weekly update to the Fundraising Manager.

Reporting & Accountability

Submit a weekly activity report covering mosques visited, collections booked, money boxes placed, database updates, and income collected.

Attend weekly team meetings and 1-to-1 sessions with the Fundraising Manager.

Work toward monthly and quarterly individual targets set by the Fundraising Manager.

Communicate any issues, blockers, or opportunities to the Fundraising Manager promptly.

Skills & Competencies

Confident, personable, and comfortable speaking to imams, mosque committee members, business owners, and madrasa staff.

Highly organised with the ability to manage many relationships and contacts simultaneously.

Self-motivated and able to work independently in the field without day-to-day supervision.

Good written communication skills for weekly reporting and database management.

Reliable, punctual, and professional always when representing GRF in the community.

Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by mosque collection schedules.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Full UK driving licence — this is a field-based role and regular travel across Manchester and the NW is required.

Desirable:

Existing knowledge of or connections within the Manchester Muslim community and mosque network.

Previous experience in a field-based, community, or sales role.

Familiarity with CRM tools or database management.

       Knowledge of Islamic community settings.

Why Join GRF

Be part of a mission-driven, growing humanitarian organisation.

A meaningful role with direct impact on GRF's ability to fund humanitarian work worldwide.

What We Offer:

       Competitive salary

Structured onboarding, training, and ongoing support from the Fundraising Manager.

A collaborative, motivated FR team with clear targets and regular team communication.

Professional development and the opportunity to grow within GRF.

To apply, please submit your CV and a brief covering letter to the GRF HR team, outlining your experience and connection to the Manchester community. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, and early applications are encouraged.
