In recent months, we have witnessed some of the deadliest genocidal attacks on civilians in Palestinian Territory since the occupation began in 1947. As of 15 January 2024, at least 31,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks since 7 October 2023. Over 1,955,000 people have been displaced, 69,700 homes destroyed, and 61,097 injured. These figures are increasing daily. 

The border closures currently in place are obstructing the entry of medical supplies, fuel, food, and water, all necessary for the survival of civilians, threatening to worsen an already debilitating and incredibly fragile humanitarian situation.
