Meet Muhammad H
10 years old, from Palestine, wishing for his friends to be safe
We recently sat down with Muhammad H, a 10 year old boy from Palestine, to talk about what winter looks like back home.
I am Muhammad H. I’m 10 years old and I’m from Palestine.
What is your favourite memory from Palestine?
My favourite memory in Palestine is when we go getting olives, camping there, cooking food on the fire and doing fun things.
What struggles do kids in Gaza have?
They are hungry and cold and scared. They need food and milk (the small kids) and they need clothes to wear. They need food and medicines if they have been sick from the cold and winter.
What do you wish for the children in Gaza?
I wish for them a good place to live, good food, good dress, a safe, clean area and a mosque so they can pray.
Have you been to Masjid al Aqsa?
Yes. When I went to Masjid al Aqsa, I felt so happy. It was so beautiful. I saw the rug that Sayyid Muhammad peace be upon him had been sitting on to go to Jannah. I saw so many things - very old things and very beautiful things.
Do you have friends in Palestine?
Yes, I have so many friends in Palestine.
I wish for them to stay safe and not die.
Muhammad is only 10 years old. He should be playing with toys, not worrying about his friends being safe. This winter, many children in Palestine will suffer from the cold and rain. With no home to protect them, you can give hope.
Help us bring warmth for all this winter
