140+ million children across the world have lost one or both of their parents. Behind every orphan is a story, with their own little lives, passions and big, big dreams.

Meet Abbas

Abbas is 9 years old and has 2 siblings. They are fully dependent on aid. He likes playing football and his favourite subject is maths. When he grows up, he wants to be an engineer. His goal for the year is to finish homework on time. Abbas and his family are in good health, but need support for essentials items to support him.

In his own words, your sponsorship "has played a great role in supporting me and offering a helping hand, especially in light of the difficult circumstances and war we are going through."

Meet Nour

Nour is 12 years old and has 4 siblings. They are fully dependent on aid. Her favourite subject is English and she wants to be a doctor when she grows up. In her spare time, she likes watching TV and her goal for the year is to follow a daily schedule. She will use the funds "to buy clothes and school stationery to continue my education".

Meet Salma

Salma is 12 years old and has 3 siblings. They are fully dependent on aid. Her favourite subject is maths, she likes watching TV and wants to be a painter when she grows up. Her goal for the year is to "drink enough water every day".

Salma's mother shares with us, "I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for what you provide for my daughter during these difficult circumstances we are living through. May Allah bless your efforts and reward you with the best of rewards on our behalf."

They're children - just like our children

Their goals for the year are so simple, but ongoing conflict makes them so, so difficult. Alhamdulillah, through our Little Rahmah Orphan Sponsorship programme, you have made an incredible difference, allowing us to reach orphans in Gaza every single day. But the need remains severe.
