In the heart of Türkiye, where countless Syrian refugees have sought shelter and hope, the Global Rahmah Foundation has launched its annual Back to School Project. This year, the campaign has taken place in the Türkiye refugee camp, focusing on the South-East region, particularly in the municipality of Reyhanli. As children across the Middle East head back to school in August, our dedicated team, comprised of members both on the ground in Türkiye and others who flew in from the UK, has been working tirelessly to provide essential supplies to these young learners.

The Urgency of Education for Syrian Refugee Children

Türkiye hosts the largest number of refugees worldwide, with an estimated 3.6 million Syrians residing within its borders as of 2024. The socio-economic challenges faced by these refugees are immense, and access to education remains a significant hurdle. Many Syrian children are at risk of missing out on schooling due to a lack of resources and support.
