2025 Recap: You Supported Millions!

You stood with our brothers & sisters when they needed us most.

GRF 2025 Recap
On behalf of the entire team at GRF, we would like to thank you for your unwavering support in 2025. You really stepped up to help families across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Alhamdulillah, thanks to your generosity, we were able to support millions of people in dire need. From our ongoing emergency response in Gaza to establishing new community development projects in Cox's Bazar and beyond, you made incredible things happen last year.

In 2025, your donations supported families across 5 core areas:

GRF food aid

Food Aid

Every single day, vulnerable communities suffer from hunger across the globe, with children some of the most at-risk. We provided hot meals, food parcels, bread, dates and more to countless families. Utilising our existing network, we were able to nourish families who had lost everything across Sudan, Gaza and more hard-to-reach areas. Alhamdulillah, thanks to your donations, we delivered year-long food assistance, including in Ramadan, Eid & Qurbani, so families could further observe religious occasions with dignity.

“For one day, my children ate like other children.” - Halima

Afghanistan water well

WASH

In line with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) of ‘Clean Water and Sanitation’, we executed several WASH projects, providing safe water, preserving dignity and helping protect against diseases. Your donations supported 4.7+ million beneficiaries through water wells, pumps and tanks, allowing them to access clean water. Your support further helped distribute hygiene kits to displaced families, preserving dignity and preventing the spread of disease.

Lebanon Mental Health Project Update February 2025

Health

In conflict and poverty-affected areas, healthcare is often difficult to access, causing treatable diseases to become life-threatening – and even fatal. Focusing on the SDG ‘Good Health and Well-Being', we implemented several health-focused projects, reaching 3,523 beneficiaries. We supported the refurbishment of rooms at Hayfa Hospital and provided life-saving medicines.

We further facilitated urgent surgeries in Gaza, ensuring patients received the urgent care they had missed out on for so long. In Mali, we provided malaria treatment and medical advice, protecting children from the deadly disease. Furthermore, we recognise the challenges refugee children face and liaised with mental health practitioners to provide psychosocial support for refugee children in Lebanon, particularly NET (Narrative exposure Therapy) and Play Therapy, allowing them to process the trauma endured.

“We believe this project will support children with their long-term development and are excited to see the results it brings.” - Programmes Team

shelter in Gaza

Shelter

Millions of families have lost their homes to war or natural disasters. Working towards the SDG for ‘Sustainable Cities and Communities’, we distributed shelter to displaced families in Gaza, building Rahmah Camps, complete with bathroom facilities and prayer areas. We further provided shelter to refugees affected by the Cox’s Bazar fires and flood-affected families in Pakistan, providing protection and a small corner of privacy. Additionally, we cleared roads in Gaza, removing rubble and helping clear routes for aid etc and distributed bedding, tarpaulin flooring, blankets & mattresses, reaching 20,672 beneficiaries.

Night Light Aid Bangladesh

Community Development

Alongside essential aid, we recognise the need to support communities, implementing innovative initiatives that bring long-term benefits. We implemented Night Light Aid, improving safety for Rohingya refugee women and families by installing lighting. We further restored homes for refugees living in hardship in Lebanon, helped refugees become self-sufficient by setting up their own businesses and also constructed prayer areas in Gaza, giving families a place to pray, away from the rubble.
