Rohingya Refugees

Emergency Appeal: Rohingya Refugee Camp Fire

A devastating fire has swept through the Kutupalong Rohingya Camp in Bangladesh, claiming the lives of at least two people, including a child, and destroying over 1,000 shelters ¹. The Global Rahmah Foundation team is on the ground, providing critical aid, including:
  • Food Aid: Hot meals and food rations to sustain the affected families
  • Shelters: Emergency accommodations to provide refuge from the elements
  • Blankets: Warmth and comfort for those who have lost their belongings
The fire, which lasted two hours, has left thousands of Rohingya refugees without access to basic necessities. Our team is working tirelessly to provide relief and support to those affected. Your donation can help us continue to provide essential aid to those in need.
Please consider supporting our emergency appeal to help the Rohingya refugees affected by this devastating fire.

1 Million Rohingya people displaced in Bangladesh

GRF On Ground

Nearly a million Rohingya refugees have fled the persecution and destruction of their homes. Facing a mass displacement, over 925,000 Rohingya citizens are now living under very troubling circumstances. Without recognition as citizens or permanent residents of the country, the refugees have limited access to education, jobs, and health services, resulting in chronic poverty and marginalisation

The camps built for the refugees were informal settlements built on uneven, sandy hills that face constant threat of flooding and landslides. All shelters are built from bamboo and tarp, meaning the people residing in these shelters are not protected in the face of extreme weather conditions.

Most Rohingya refugees who reach Bangladesh and seek shelter, have little access to aid, safe drinking waterfoodshelter or healthcare. GRF’s on-ground team in Cox’s Bazar, work tirelessly to distribute life-saving aid, all year round.

Send Hope To The Refugees In Rohingya Camps
