We can’t even imagine hearing those words. If we suffer from an illness or condition, we can book an appointment and receive treatment – sometimes, straightaway. We can call an ambulance, book a doctor’s appointment or turn up to a hospital whenever we need. We sometimes have to wait, but we’ll always get seen. 

For people experiencing war and poverty, it’s not like that. If they are unwell, they don’t get to be seen. If they have a condition, an appointment is not always guaranteed. Many live in third world countries and disease is easily spread. But they don’t always have the tools to prevent it. Whether it’s the common cold, malaria, an airstrike to the body or a type of cancer, they don’t always get the treatment they need to survive.
