More than one fifth of people are undernourished while millions don't have access to clean water close to their homes. As of 2020, over 20% of Pakistan’s population is malnourished, and nearly 45% of children younger than the age of 5 are stunted, according to the UN World Food Program (WFP). These numbers are increasing yearly. With the increase in poverty rates, the poorest and most vulnerable people in Pakistan cannot afford a sufficient and nutritious diet.
Your food parcel donation allows you to feed a family of 6 for 2 - 3 weeks, providing them with all the essential nutrients they need. Packs contain long-lasting foods such as flour, rice, tea, sugar, oil, dates, canned beans or lentils.
4 out of 5 people in Pakistan do not have access to clean drinking water. GRF works within communities and villages in Pakistan to install water pumps for their residents. These communal water pumps are used daily by those in need for many years to come. This ensures they have access to clean, safe drinking water, minimising the risk of waterborne infections.

Many families lost their homes in 2022, in what was named one of the worst flooding crises Pakistan has witnessed. The relentless flooding of 2022 submerged a third of the country under water, causing extensive damage to water systems and leading to an increased need for humanitarian assistance. Entire communities were impacted, with places such as schools used as temporary shelters.
