Help keep women and girls safe in Cox’s Bazar

There has been a rise in gender-based violence within Cox’s Bazar, with women and young girls targeted, especially when using sanitation facilities at night.  WASH facilities remain 10 – 15 feet away from the camp and inadequate lighting leaves women exposed to violent attacks. We aim to meet the urgent needs of women and girls, improving safety, sanitation and overall wellbeing within camps. With improved lighting during the night, women will be safer when using sanitation facilities and increased visibility in the area will leave attackers deferred. Donate to our Night Light Aid project and protect Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh today.

Safety or sanitation? Give them both

Women shouldn’t have to choose between safety or sanitation. They should have both. With violence towards women increasing in Cox’s Bazar, many refrain from using facilities, in fear of what may happen. This leads to open defecation, causing sanitation concerns amid an already overcrowded population.

Help women maintain their dignity. They shouldn’t have to make the heartbreaking choice of risking their safety just to meet a basic human need. By providing street lights and flash lights, we are increasing visibility in the area, deterring attackers and keeping people safe. Support our campaign and increase security in these areas today.

Woman shouldn’t feel afraid

Sadly, thousands in Cox’s Bazar live in fear, worried about what may happen if they use the bathroom. This is not just a safety issue; it affects dignity and basic human rights. By bringing light into these areas, we’re keeping women protected, turning fear into safety.

When you donate to our Night Light campaign, you are helping women maintain their dignity. Give Sadaqah today and bring light into a dark situation.
