Help keep women & families safe in Cox’s Bazar
Almost 1 million Rohingya refugees live in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. There has been a rise in gender-based violence within Cox’s Bazar, with women and young girls targeted, especially when using sanitation facilities at night. There is no lighting in the area and WASH facilities are 10 – 15 feet away from camps. Therefore, women are exposed to violent attacks and families fear for their children using the bathroom. GRF aims to meet the urgent needs of women and children, improving safety, sanitation and overall wellbeing within camps. With improved lighting during the night, women will be safer when using sanitation facilities and increased visibility in the area will leave attackers deferred. Donate to our Night Light Aid project and protect Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh today.
