Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for the Back to School 2025

Where are the school kits and uniforms distributed?

GRF provides school kits, uniforms, and education support in several countries across Africa, Asia, and the Middle East — including Gaza, Yemen, Pakistan, Lebanon, and Somalia. Our priority is vulnerable children, especially orphans and those in refugee or conflict-affected areas.

What’s included in a School Essentials Kit?

Each kit includes a backpack, notebooks, pens, pencils, ruler, sharpener, eraser, and other age-appropriate school supplies. Contents may vary slightly based on local school requirements.

How long does the School Uniform donation last a child?

Your donation of £30 provides two full uniforms — enough for one academic year, helping the child feel comfortable, confident, and included in school life.

Is the Education Sponsorship a one-time payment or recurring?

It’s a monthly donation of £30. You can choose to support for as many months as you wish. The longer the sponsorship, the more stable the child’s education journey becomes.

Can I choose which country or child to support?

Due to the scale of our projects, individual selection isn’t always possible. However, you can specify a preferred country when donating, and we’ll do our best to honour it.

Is my donation Zakat-eligible?

The school kit and education sponsorship programmes support orphans and needy children and can qualify for Zakat in many cases. Please tick the Zakat option during donation to ensure it’s allocated correctly.

Will I receive updates or reports?

For monthly sponsors, we aim to send annual impact reports and stories from the field. One-time donors may receive general updates via email or our newsletter.

Can I make a donation on behalf of someone else?

es, you can donate in someone’s name and request an e-gift certificate or printable card. It’s a beautiful Sadaqah Jariyah gift too.
