Give Qurbani today

Fulfil your Islamic obligation and donate Qurbani to most needed communities from the wealth you have been blessed with. Families can then use this meat to make cooked meals and nutritious meals they may not otherwise have throughout the whole year. The cost of animals will depend on their size, with larger animals costing more than smaller animals like sheep and goats.

This Eid-al-Adha, you can help countless families across the globe. Your Eid-ul-Adha Qurbani donation will provide essential nutrients and allow disadvantaged communities to take part in the spirit of Eid-al-Adha.

How do we send Qurbani meat to Gaza?

We have distributed Qurbani meat to vulnerable families and communities in Gaza for many years. With the current situation, you may be wondering how we are able to send Qurbani meat to Gaza in 2026. Here's how we do it:

First, healthy animals are sacrificed outside of Gaza. Meat is then divided and tinned. These tins are shipped into Gaza through crossings. Tinned meat takes longer to reach, with the exact time depending on the opening of crossings. As people in Gaza face severe food insecurity, we recognise the dire need to send Qurbani meat into the region and strive to ensure this reaches them. With your support, we can give their share.

How do we send Qurbani meat to Palestine?

Alongside Gaza, we have sent Qurbani meat to people in Palestine and Palestinian refugees (in Jordan and Lebanon) for over a decade. Here's how it's done:

Animals are sacrificed outside of these regions. The meat is divided and frozen. Frozen meat is then shipped to its final destination. This meat will reach recipients within 40-60 days. Palestinian communities can then consume hot meals and receive essential nutrients. Fulfilling your Islamic duty, you can give people in Palestine/Palestinian refugees their share this Eid.

The only time of year they'll eat meat

Many families, especially those facing extreme poverty, look forward to Qurbani as it's the only time of year they can eat meat. This nutritious meat provides essential minerals that they so urgently require. Your generous donations provide sustenance to families and can help take the burden of hunger away.

We are offering several donation options this year. Choose to donate a small animal, large animal share, whole large animal, camel share or whole camel (location dependent).

Frequently Asked Questions

Qurbani FAQs

What is Qurbani?

Qurbani is the ritual in which Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) was willing to sacrifice his son after Allah commanded him to. Before carrying out the slaughter, his son was replaced by an animal.

Every year, Muslims commemorate this Islamic tradition during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah by perorfming a sacrifice of livestock (sheep, cows, goats or camels) during Eid-al-Adha as part of this sacred tradition. Qurbani also aligns with Hajj, the pilgrimage to Makkah, as pilgrims must complete Qurbani after Hajj.

Where does GRF distribute Qurbani?

Our team distributes Qurbani in 18 countries: Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, Afghanistan, Somalia, Chad, Tanzania, Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Sudan, Ghana, Mali, Yemen, Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine (Gaza and Palestine).
