Rohingya Refugees

1 Million Rohingya people displaced in Bangladesh

GRF On Ground

Nearly a million Rohingya refugees have fled the persecution and destruction of their homes. Facing a mass displacement, over 925,000 Rohingya citizens are now living under very troubling circumstances. Without recognition as citizens or permanent residents of the country, the refugees have limited access to education, jobs, and health services, resulting in chronic poverty and marginalisation

The camps built for the refugees were informal settlements built on uneven, sandy hills that face constant threat of flooding and landslides. All shelters are built from bamboo and tarp, meaning the people residing in these shelters are not protected in the face of extreme weather conditions.

Most Rohingya refugees who reach Bangladesh and seek shelter, have little access to aid, safe drinking waterfoodshelter or healthcare. GRF’s on-ground team in Cox’s Bazar, work tirelessly to distribute life-saving aid, all year round.

Send Hope To The Refugees In Rohingya Camps

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.”
