Syria has been facing an ongoing crisis since 2011, inflicting terrible suffering upon millions of Syrian people. For over a decade, the people of Syria have been suffering the devastating consequences of war, with seemingly no end in sight. Generations of children are crippled with the psychological effects of war, in addition to the countless physical repercussions of restricted food, water, healthcare, and shelter.
Majority of Syrian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan, struggle with unemployment and rely on aid to meet basic needs. In turn, they are unable to afford basic healthcare to treat medical urgencies. The slow deterioration of their physical wellbeing then adds to the detriment of their circumstances. Our healthcare project aims to change this by ensuring refugees receive the appropriate and proper care during times of illness and difficulty.
